Building Resilient Leaders at Barclays

“From Chaos to Clarity: How a Leadership Blueprint Transformed a Team”

Context
Barclays’ technology leadership team was facing a critical challenge: reactive ways of working, change fatigue, and inconsistent accountability. Leaders were stretched thin, and the same individuals were carrying most of the load, leading to burnout and uneven performance.

Our Approach
We partnered with Paralympian and leadership coach Danny Crates to deliver an interactive Leadership Blueprint workshop. Danny drew from his journey as a gold medal-winning athlete, sharing insights on resilience, purpose, and leading under pressure. Unlike a keynote, this was a hands-on masterclass: leaders defined their personal leadership non-negotiables and co-created strategies for embedding accountability and trust within their teams.

Impact
The session shifted the group from abstract discussion to concrete commitments. Leaders left with clarity on their role, stronger alignment on purpose, and renewed energy to tackle their transformation challenges.

  • Participants created actionable Leadership Blueprints.

  • Team alignment on accountability and resilience improved immediately.

  • Feedback included: “One of the best offsites we’ve ever had.” and “He was epic.”

Driving Inclusion Through Authentic Storytelling at Deliveroo

Being Me: How Paralympian Liz Johnson Sparked a Culture of Belonging

Context
Deliveroo’s Wellbeing Employee Resource Group (ERG) wanted a flagship event that would do more than raise awareness—they wanted to empower employees to embrace difference. Their goal was to create a session that fostered real connection, inclusion, and a lasting cultural impact.

Our Approach
We partnered with Liz Johnson — Paralympic gold medallist, broadcaster, and inclusion advocate — to deliver a keynote on the power of movement. Drawing on her journey growing up with cerebral palsy, Liz spoke with honesty, warmth, and humour about authenticity, resilience, and turning challenges into opportunities.

Hosted at Deliveroo’s London HQ in the tiered auditorium, the event was designed as an immersive experience, engaging employees across the business in a shared story of inclusion.

Impact
Employees laughed, cried, and left with a deeper understanding of how to foster inclusive environments.

  • Strong attendance in Deliveroo’s auditorium demonstrated high engagement.

  • ERG leaders credited the session with raising the network’s visibility and credibility.

  • It sparked ongoing conversations across the business about disability inclusion and normalising difference.
