Building Resilient Leaders at Barclays
“From Chaos to Clarity: How a Leadership Blueprint Transformed a Team”
Context
Barclays’ technology leadership team was facing a critical challenge: reactive ways of working, change fatigue, and inconsistent accountability. Leaders were stretched thin, and the same individuals were carrying most of the load, leading to burnout and uneven performance.
Our Approach
We partnered with Paralympian and leadership coach Danny Crates to deliver an interactive Leadership Blueprint workshop. Danny drew from his journey as a gold medal-winning athlete, sharing insights on resilience, purpose, and leading under pressure. Unlike a keynote, this was a hands-on masterclass: leaders defined their personal leadership non-negotiables and co-created strategies for embedding accountability and trust within their teams.
Impact
The session shifted the group from abstract discussion to concrete commitments. Leaders left with clarity on their role, stronger alignment on purpose, and renewed energy to tackle their transformation challenges.
Participants created actionable Leadership Blueprints.
Team alignment on accountability and resilience improved immediately.
Feedback included: “One of the best offsites we’ve ever had.” and “He was epic.”
